Spread over two volumes, this guide offers walkers the de- tailed description in stages of The 10 great crossings of Cat- alonia, with maps, profiles and tracks, recommendations about signposting, transport and accommodation, and all the technical information necessary to do them safely. The first volume is devoted to the high Pyrenean moun- tain: the routes described go through the National Park of Aigüestortes i Sant Maurici, by the Val d’Aran and Ariège, Cadí-Moixeró, the massif of Pedraforca and the pilgrim paths of the Vall de Núria. In the second volume, focusing more on the historic routes and, recalling the Cathars, we cross Catalonia and the Pyrenees to go into Occitania, visit the three great Cistercian monasteries of Catalonia, and, now in the south, cross the mountains of Prades, Montsant and the massifs of Port.
